Refreshed, Rejuvenated, and Ready for a Great 2023!

I hope this finds you refreshed, rejuvenated and ready for a great 2023!

Whether your business is new to Lake City or has been around for several years I want you to know that we are here to support you. This is a great time of year to create a plan for growth, sustainability, and ways to succeed in the new year.

Are you looking to network with other businesses, work on team building within your organization, promote your business in and outside of Lake City, get involved in community events, or collaborate with similar organizations to build your business? The chamber offers several different benefits that can help you accomplish your goals in 2023, and we would love to partner with you in any way we can.

At the chamber we are confident and ready to tackle what the new year will bring! We are excited to announce that our chamber staff has grown to three, and now more than ever, we are equipped to assist you and your business.  Ed Hoffman has transitioned into the role of Tourism and Communications Specialist, and he will continue to be an asset to this organization, especially in promoting events and tourism in and outside of Lake City. I am also thrilled to announce Heather Thomas has joined our team as our new Events and Office Coordinator. I am confident that her upbeat and hardworking attitude is the perfect fit for our office and community.

Heather received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin- River Falls and also an Associate’s Degree from Rochester Community and Technical College in Health Information Technology. Her professional experience has been working within multiple health systems managing multiple roles in the Health Information Department.  Most recently she has worked as a Certified Health Information Specialist and Senior Medical Coder.

Heather is dedicated to supporting Lake City Community and businesses.  She has been 1 of 4 women who have worked tirelessly to create Lake City Fall Fest to bring families and community together to celebrate autumn and all it has to offer.

Heather grew up in Lake City and currently lives in Frontenac, MN with her husband and 3 children. In her spare time she enjoys camping, traveling, spending time at the cabin and being outdoors and on the water with her family. Stop in and say hi to welcome Heather to our chamber team if you get a chance.

We look forward to seeing you very soon.

Happy New Year!
