Music, food, and lots of entertainment…oh my! In this edition of our newsletter, you will learn about a lot of exciting things that are happening in Lake City. Not only are we are just a couple weeks away from our 51st Annual Water Ski Days, we have also welcomed several new businesses to the chamber, are working on our 16th Annual Tour de Pepin ride with an estimated 800 participants riding, and been involved with several events and meetings to support our local businesses such as Meet in the Middle with Red Wing Chamber of Commerce, Business After Hours, Shops of Lake City planning meetings, and more! Speaking of local businesses…As we step into this busy and wonderful season in Lake City a lot of us are planning or participating in various events and celebrations like family reunions, graduation parties, and friendly get togethers. As you think of supplies, caterers, and resources needed to execute your event don’t forget to use our local businesses to support your needs. We have so many great resources that can help you right here in Lake City. If you need ideas of who to reach out to help plan your event please call us, and we will happily assist in finding a local resource!
In closing, I just want to thank our local business community and individual members who have supported our events this summer. We absolutely could not do any of this without you. My favorite thing about being a part of the chamber is seeing everyone come together to volunteer their time, join a planning committee, and offer financial support so these community events can go off with a bang. In return, our community thrives financially, our hotels fill up, the restaurants are busy, retailers are seeing spikes in business, and the overall impact is extremely positive for the future of Lake City.
