A mEssage from the Chamber

We are facing fluid and extraordinary times in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. We want you to be aware that in the best interest of you, your business, and our community, we are rescheduling all networking, meeting and programming events. Those currently being rescheduled/cancelled include Meet in the Middle, State of the City Luncheon, Manufacturers and Large Employers Luncheon, and Business After Hours. We will keep you updated on the new dates for those that are rescheduled.

This is not just about COVID-19, but doing our part to ensure there is capacity at our medical facilities to be able to assist with ALL illnesses. This is not about us as individuals but about protecting people with vulnerable immune/compromised systems and our friends and family over 60. Governor Walz issued a Stay at Home Executive Order that takes effect on Friday, March 27 @ 11:59pm and expires on Friday, April 10, 2020 as an additional step to slow the spread of Covid-19. In addition, this order will also extend the closure of all restaurants, bars, and recreational facilities until May 1. Schools will continue online learning until May 4.

Our office will be working remotely until further notice. We will continue to serve you. I am confident we will find innovative, technological ways to encourage connections and business building.

I am always available to you and would appreciate any and all input as we navigate these challenging times. Please call, email and stay in contact with us throughout this time. Let’s be proactive now so that this crisis is mitigated sooner rather than later and we can get back to business as usual. We greatly appreciate your patience and consideration.

Our emails for contact include: Michelle Larson, Executive Director: and Samantha Schamaun, Executive Assistant: You can contact our office phone, 651-345-4123, and we will do our best to check voicemails in a timely manner. You can also reach me on my cell phone 651-564-0860.

This is a true test of all of our leadership to ensure the Lake City business community and the entire community of Lake City can navigate through this dramatic and challenging time. This too shall pass and we will be better individuals and businesses because of it.

We are here for you.
