Take out and curbside and delivery, oh my!

In attempt to support local businesses in the area, and provide the community with the most current information, the Lake City Chamber of Commerce has created a list of curbside, delivery, and/or takeout options available during this time.

By continuing to frequent our local food services during this time, we can continue to support these businesses that may otherwise be hit hard by Gov. Tim Walz’s order, while also following current standards to curb the spread of COVID-19. Together we can do this! Share your meal on Facebook and tag the restaurant/business you purchased it from. Let’s show them some love during this trying time!

These guidelines will go into effect on Wednesday, June 10.
  • Outdoor gatherings of friends and family of 25 people or less; indoor gatherings of 10 people or less
  • Retailers continue at 50 percent occupancy with former guidelines.
  • Restaurants and bars for indoor at 50% capacity, cannot exceed 250 people in a single self-contained space, with former guidelines like masks and reservations required.
  • Personal services like salons, tattoo parlors and barbershops at 50% capacity, cannot exceed 250 people in a single self-contained space, with former guidelines like masks and appointments required.
  • Gyms, personal fitness and yoga studios for both indoor at outdoor use at 25% capacity.
  • Seated indoor entertainment like movies, concert halls, bowling, arcades, museums, and theaters at 25% capacity, cannot exceed 250 people in a self-contained space.
  • Pools at 50% capacity and maintain social distancing.
  • Outdoor event and entertainments settings, like sporting events, concerts, and theaters, cannot exceed 250 people in a single self-contained space, and must continue to follow social distancing guidelines, maintain social distancing, and strongly recommend masks be worn.
  • All businesses must have a COVID-19 Preparedness Plan in order to reopen.
  • Beginning on June 29, all “critical businesses” (those that remained open throughout the executive orders) must also have a COVID-19 Preparedness Plan. Further guidance coming by June 15.
The Department of Employment and Economic Development has more expansive details on what this means for each industry including more thorough guidelines. Those can be found here.
