What motivates you? I love to get up each morning and take care of my customers. My customers are my friends.
Why are you a Chamber member? Businesses in a small town have to work together to make the town work for those who live there and the Chamber is how that happens. To be a successful community, you must have successful small businesses. Small businesses contribute more to the community than anything else by creating revenue, jobs, and giving back.
What’s an interesting fact about your business that most people don’t know? Several years ago I sold a Dodge pickup to a retired government official visiting Rochester from Qatar and had it shipped to the Middle East.
Do you have any advice for new business owners? Work half day every day: That’s 7 in the morning to 7 at night. Take care of the customer. If you don’t understand that, take care of the customer. Take care of the customer, always.
When you’re not working, where in Lake City do you like to spend your time? Marie and I enjoy being at our home in Lake City and visiting our local restaurants and shops.
