9th Annual Tour de Pepin Registration is Open Now
April 1, 2016 Register now for the Tour de Pepin, now in its 9th year. The tour starts and ends in Lake City. Tour routes will remain the same this year, as will the registration fee for individual and team riders. This beloved cycling event, named the one of the best in the upper midwest, features four touring options, 32, 50, 72, and 100 miles. Those riding 32 and 50 miles receive a return trip from Stockholm, WI to Lake City on the Pearl of the Lake Paddle Boat. REGISTER HERE >

How many years has J & J been in business? Five. J & J is owned by the Gerkens, who also own Port 104, with whom we share the building.
What do you sell the most and when is your peak season? Beer! Craft beer is very popular now. Customers have their favorites, but they also enjoying trying new things, so we carry a large selection. Summer is our busiest time thanks to tourists and especially boaters.
Why are you a Chamber member? The Chamber does a great job of supporting local businesses and producing events that bring thousands of people to town.
What’s an interesting fact about your business that most people don’t know? We carry over 500 different kinds of wine and liquor and we inventory every week!
Do you have any advice for new business owners? Advertising is so important. Businesses that don’t advertise are not going to thrive. Customers want to know what’s on sale, what’s new, and without advertising you’re invisible.
When you’re not working, where in Lake City do you like to spend your time? I enjoy relaxing at home and being in Lake City’s quilt shops!
